Season 1 is the first season of Peacock's One of Us Is Lying. The 8-episode season rolled-out over the course of three weeks, with new episodes dropped in batches on Thursdays. The first three episodes dropped Thursday, October 7, followed by episodes 4-6 on Thursday, October 14, and episodes 7-8 on Thursday, October 21. All 8-episode were released on Netflix on February 18, 2021.

Synopsis[]

Based on Karen M. McManus’s New York Times best-selling novel, ONE OF US IS LYING is the story of what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four make it out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.

Casting[]

October 30, 2019, Peacock announced that Marianly Tejada, Cooper van Grootel, Annalisa Cochrane, Chibuikem Uche, Jessica McLeod, Barrett Carnahan and Melissa Collazo will lead the ensemble cast of the drama.[1] July 16, 2021, Mark McKenna joined the cast in a series regular role.[2] August 05, 2021, Martin Bobb-Semple, Karim Diané, George Ferrier, Miles J. Harvey, Zenia Marshall, Sara Thompson were cast as recurring characters in the series.[3] On October 5, 2021, Alimi Ballard joined the series in a heavily recurring role.[4]

Notes[]

  • The season was originally scheduled to release on February 4, 2022, however Netflix pushed it back to February 18, 2022.[5]
