Maeve Rojas is one of the main characters in the Peacock original series, One Of Us Is Lying. She is portrayed by Melissa Collazo.
She is Bronwyn's little sister. Maeve developed a tough demeanor while losing years to a childhood fight with Leukemia. In remission now, she's hungry to make up for lost time. She's sassy, and opinionated.
Biography[]
Maeve Rojas was born to wealthy parents Javier and Isabella Rojas. She is the younger sister of Bronwyn. Due to not being as academically gifted as Bronwyn, their parents favoured Bronwyn over her. During her childhood, Maeve battled Leukaemia (Cancer). She was popular with the other Cancer patients at Hospital, but was lonely in school due to missing a lot of it due to her long periods in Hospital.
During High School, she befriended Simon Kelleher and Janae Matthews who both had a crush on her. She is currently in remission for Cancer.

Maeve is a smart, caring, loyal and assertive young woman. As Bronwyn’s younger sister who isn't as academically exceptional, she still manages to hack Tumblr and protect her older sister numerous times throughout the series.
Maeve battled with leukemia in her younger years, and seemed to deeply mourn Simons death after he passed, thus her character has truly been through much trauma and fear in the series.
Season 2
In Season 2 Maeve tries to become more independent of Bronwyn’s influence. Her technological know-how allows her to become increasingly more useful as she even figured out how to talk to Simon Says. Her frustration with Bronwyn trying to control her all the time has led her to things behind her back because Bronwyn doesn’t trust her. She also increases her relationship with Janae.

Notes and Trivia[]
Maeve is Bisexual. Though many believed Janae Matthews had a crush on their best friend Simon Kelleher, it was in fact Maeve who Janae was in love with. Maeve had been hanging out with Simon and Janae over the Summer as she didn’t have many friends due to spending a lot of time in Hospital. Because Janae was reluctant to damage Maeve’s friendship with them, they didn’t make a move on her. As such, Simon made a move on her first. This was what caused Janae to try and kill themselves by overdosing on drugs.
The reason TJ was in jail was actually because of Maeve as she was the one who told Simon Says the plan of the Bayview 5 in “Simon Says Ho-Ho-Ho”
Maeve figured out who Simon Says was earlier than the others as she was the one who sent Simon Says “THEY ARE ABOUT TO FIGURE IT OUT”. She did this so she could get Simon Says to delete the footage of them and frame Simon Says for Jake Riordan’s death.
